NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF WOMEN BUSINESS OWNERS SELECTS
KIM SILVERS AS 2006 “WISE WOMAN OF THE YEAR”
SACRAMENTO, CA: The National Association of Women
Business Owners®, Sacramento Valley Chapter, selected
Kim Silvers of Silvers HR Management for the 2006 “Wise
Woman of the Year” award at the organization’s “9th
Annual Outstanding Women Leaders of the Year” luncheon
in October.
“I’ve found that NAWBO® is an excellent resource of
information, networking and support for women business
owners and am delighted to receive this award,” said Kim
Silvers from her company’s Granite Bay office.
NAWBO® has been helping women evolve their businesses by
sharing resources and providing a single voice to shape
economic and public policy since 1975. Nominations for
the annual awards are submitted by the business
community and evaluated by a NAWBO OWL awards selection
committee.
“The Wise Woman award honors a business woman who has
had a successful business for more than five years,”
explained Cindy Ajay, President of NAWBO® and owner of
Blue Sky Day Spa. “Kim Silvers is very deserving of this
special recognition.”
Kim Silvers has more than twenty years of business
experience in Human Resources management for private and
public sector Fortune 500/1000 companies. She founded
Silvers HR Management in 2001 to offer superior human
resources services to organizations who evaluate their
HR programs with a return on investment (ROI) approach.
An accomplished speaker, Ms. Silvers often addresses
companies and organizations on Human Resources topics.
She has served on the NAWBO Board of Directors, various
committees and currently chairs the Mastermind
Committee.
Silvers holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business,
MBA in Human Resources Management and is a certified
Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR). In
addition, she teaches at St. Mary’s College Sacramento
campus and the University of California, Davis.
